Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary skills.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in plating and presentation of dishes for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Experience
- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards is highly desirable
- Experience in meal preparation and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment will be advantageous
- Knowledge of the food industry, including basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations, is beneficial
- Prior experience with food service or restaurant work demonstrates the ability to thrive under pressure and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: $17.20-$24.44 per hour
