About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a papermill operation in Northern Ontario. This is a hands-on industrial role supporting the reliability, maintenance, and safe operation of mill equipment and facilities.
You will work as part of a skilled maintenance team, supporting both day-to-day operations and planned shutdown activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on papermill electrical systems, equipment, buildings, and associated infrastructure
- Support planned maintenance during departmental shutdowns
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Work scheduled weekend duty as required
- Participate in shift work rotations if required
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program or equivalent
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent certification)
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and maintenance practices
- Bilingualism is considered an asset
