Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, Centre for Change Enablement, and working as part of a team, the Organizational Change Management Practitioner develops, implements, and manages change strategies and plans that support business and project objectives. Acting as an internal consultant, the role focuses on the people side of change, including impacts to business processes, job roles, and organizational structures.
The Organizational Change Management Practitioner leads change initiatives by developing strategies, plans, and tactics that maximize employee engagement throughout projects. The role influences change through communication, coaching, support, and stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization.
The position also applies knowledge of change management principles and project management methodologies to ensure successful integration and implementation of project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Applies a structured change management approach using Manitoba Public Insurance Change Management Methodology to lead assigned projects.

Develops, manages and implements specific change management strategies, plans and schedules.

Collaborates with Customer and Corporate Communications, training partners (Organizational Development and Knowledge Management Services), Talent and Organizational Development and other staff assigned on a matrix reporting relationship to the People Team, to ensure communication and training are aligned and fully integrated with the change management plan.
- Leads and facilitates the change process as outlined in the change management plan for the assigned change initiative.

Identifies and supports development needs of the impacted stakeholders in collaboration with the project and people team, and operations.

Facilitates stakeholder involvement in the development and implementation of all change initiatives.

Acts as a change champion and advocate for enterprise change and specific change initiatives, as assigned.

Participates as an active member of the Organizational Change Management team.

Participates in the refinement and maintenance of the MPI change management methodology.

Identifies and documents change management and project issues and risks as they arise. Prepares recommendations to address issues in a timely manner and implements as appropriate.

Participates in the development and administration of a change management evaluation methodology for the assigned initiative.

Conducts people readiness lessons learned and post-implementation assessments of adoption of change.

Provides change leadership coaching and consulting to impacted stakeholder leaders to ensure their readiness to lead through change.

Meets regularly with stakeholder leaders to discuss readiness activity status, concerns and risks related to their teams.

Works closely with Business Relationship Managers to ensure that impacted stakeholders are kept up to date on project changes.

Facilitates collaborative planning sessions with impacted leaders and their teams to co-create change management plans and interventions to prepare them for change.

Reviews project documents and works collaboratively with other communication resources to develop communication strategies and plans based on the project objectives and impacts to stakeholders.

Integrates all communication deliverables and events into one plan, and coordinates activities to ensure alignment in timing and messaging.

Ensures all communications are developed and delivered to the intended audiences, which includes writing change communications.
Qualifications:
Education:

Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Education, or Social Sciences
Experience:
-
Five years related experience in leading change management initiatives using project management methodologies, including assessing training needs, customizing and delivering training, and providing consulting services to management

Effectively manage multiple projects involving various departments/divisions

Manage time and stress in a dynamic environment and working to deadlines
- Superior oral and written communication skills

Continuous learning to maintain knowledge of current change practices and to stay current with merging best performances in the relevant practices

Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Solid knowledge of MS Project considered an asset
