Our client, a leading electronic manufacturing firm, is currently looking for a Electronics Technician to join their growing team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, comprehensive inspections, repairs, and rework activities as required.
- Ensure the correct tools, equipment, and procedures are used in all repair and diagnostic processes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of production equipment, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing processes.
- Utilize a range of test and inspection equipment, including but not limited to digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, slide scopes, microscopes, X-ray inspection systems, and LCR meters to investigate and diagnose hardware failures in accordance with company procedures.
- Analyze and interpret functional test results to identify defects and determine corrective actions.
- Procure and manage parts required to complete repair activities.
- Maintain detailed repair records and defect logs for tracking, analysis, and future reference.
- Safeguard confidential information related to company documentation, processes, and products.
- Collaborate with X-ray inspection personnel to assess solder joint quality and integrity.
- Carry out all responsibilities in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor hardware test failures and work closely with production, logistics, quality, process engineering, design engineering, and customers to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Evaluate test failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions for customer products.
- Partner with program managers to improve product performance, testing effectiveness, and overall quality standards for both MARA and its customers.
- Prepare technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and other analytical tools to support defect analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage RMA activities, including evaluation, repair, rework, documentation, customer communication, and progress tracking.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to new and existing team members on daily tasks, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Engineering Degree or Technician Diploma required; a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering is considered a strong asset.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a technical services role within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to establish realistic deadlines and effectively manage workload.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting various operating systems and software environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and milestones simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
