Senior BSP/Linux Engineer. HYBRID (MUST BE IN THE OTTAWA AREA)

LOCATION: HYBRID (4 DAYS PER WEEK ONSITE IN OTTAWA)

Skills Required
- Coding, programming, and strong analytical skills
- C/C++, experienced level required, not suitable for beginner level candidates
- Python, scripting knowledge is valuable, mid level is acceptable
- Linux
- Embedded software and embedded systems experience
- Automation programming
- Analytical strength is critical here, a large part of this role involves root causing and troubleshooting system level issues at the OS and BSP level
Skills Preferred
- Jira, basic understanding and working experience using tools like Jira to track work
- Automated scripting
- Acceptance testing
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
- Engineering, or a similar scientific field
- 5+ years of experience working on operating systems, kernel, drivers, and core
- services such as file systems, graphics, networking, USB, and WiFi
- Prior experience developing and testing drivers and BSP
- Strong grasp of hardware design and embedded operating system concepts
- A passion for solving tough problems with little or no information
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

The Senior BSP/Linux Engineer professional will be expected to execute the following tasks during this contract, but not limited too:
Develop C/C++ services for the infotainment system
Investigate system and BSP failures reported by internal users and external customers
Participate in system design, documentation, and testing to deliver a best in class infotainment system
Collaborate and coordinate work with other internal engineering teams
