We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
- Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor to create a comfortable environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for dental procedures is an advantage.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in pediatrics can enhance your application.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.
