Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Notary Public to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing notarial acts, ensuring the authenticity of signatures, and maintaining the integrity of documents.
This role requires a strong understanding of legal documents and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all transactions.
Duties
- Administer oaths and affirmations as required by law.
- Witness and authenticate signatures on legal documents, ensuring all parties understand the contents.
- Maintain accurate records of all notarial acts performed, including dates, types of documents, and signers’ information.
- Verify the identity of individuals signing documents through valid identification.
- Provide guidance on document requirements and procedures to clients.
- Ensure compliance with state laws and regulations governing notarial practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Notary Public is preferred but not required; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and documentation is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Notary Public commission in the state of practice.
