Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the Techtron Gatineau location. This role oversees sales operations, repair services, inventory management, staff development, customer satisfaction, and store profitability. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong retail management experience and a passion for technology.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Growth
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Drive sales of smartphones, tablets, laptops, accessories, screen protectors, and repair services.
- Increase average transaction value and accessory attachment rates.
- Monitor sales KPIs and implement action plans to improve results.
- Build relationships with local customers and businesses.
- Execute company promotions and local marketing initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop sales associates and technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching sessions.
- Create staff schedules and manage labor costs.
- Lead daily team huddles and sales training meetings.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain positive online reviews and customer feedback.
- Ensure every customer receives accurate product and repair recommendations.
Repair Operations
- Oversee smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, and laptop repair services.
- Monitor repair turnaround times and quality standards.
- Ensure technicians follow company repair procedures and quality control protocols.
- Manage warranty claims, repair escalations, and customer follow-ups.
- Track technician productivity and repair revenue performance.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Minimize shrinkage and inventory losses.
- Ensure proper merchandising and product presentation.
- Manage receiving, transfers, and stock replenishment.
Operational Excellence
- Open and close the store according to company procedures.
- Manage cash handling, deposits, and daily reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shopping centre requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
- Protect company assets and ensure workplace safety standards are followed.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3 years of retail management experience.
- Strong sales leadership and customer service background.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Experience managing KPIs and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including evenings and weekends.
Preferred
- Experience in electronics retail or wireless sales.
- Experience with mobile device, tablet, laptop, or smartwatch repairs.
- Knowledge of major technology brands and mobile devices.
- Experience with POS, inventory, and CRM systems.
- Bilingual (English and French) preferred for serving customers in the Gatineau market.
