Owner-Operator Class 1 Driver – Regional Container Division

Classic Freight Transport is seeking a professional Class 1 Owner-Operator based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to join our Regional Container Division. This opportunity is ideal for experienced owner-operators looking for consistent container freight throughout Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Provinces while partnering with a respected and safety-focused carrier.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport container freight within Nova Scotia and other Atlantic Canadian provinces.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment remains safe and roadworthy.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable transportation regulations, safety standards, and company requirements.
- Accurately complete logbooks, inspection reports, and shipment documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and terminal personnel.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
- Provide a tractor 7 years old or newer.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience.
- Clean driver's abstract (must be provided).
- Clean criminal record check.
- Previous container hauling experience is considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Must own and operate a well-maintained tractor that meets company standards.
