Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Physical Therapy Managers, the Physiotherapist III – Clinical Practice Lead (CPL) provides leadership for physical therapy practice at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. The incumbent provides clinical leadership, planning, coordination, and evaluation to support evidence-based patient care. The CPL leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional practice initiatives, clinical guidelines, learning resources, and quality improvement activities. Working collaboratively with leadership, physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and frontline staff and others, the incumbent promotes the integration of evidence-informed practices, policies, and standards into clinical care to improve patient outcomes. This role includes team leader responsibilities that supports the daily operations of assigned service areas. Key responsibilities include monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs, supporting caseload management, conducting chart audits and providing feedback and clinical support to staff. The CPL ensures changes to professional practice standards are implemented within Physical Therapy Services and reflected in service delivery. Participates in program development and operational planning and represents Physical Therapy Services on committees and organizational projects. In collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers, the CPL contributes to decisions regarding staffing, workflow, resource use and caseload priorities to support safe, effective, patient-centered care. The CPL may coordinate or support research, quality improvement, and evaluation projects related to best practice and knowledge translation. Promotes professional excellence and regulatory compliance. Based on operational requirements, the incumbent may also provide direct patient care as operational needed.
Description:
As a Physiotherapist III, you will be an integral member of our team through your leadership to other healthcare professionals (PT Is, PT IIs, Assistants) where you will facilitate the development and ongoing monitoring of clinical standards of practice for physiotherapy and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area. You will collaborate with management to support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department's operational plan strategies and may coordinate and monitor the care delivery for daily operations.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program; or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have effective problem-solving, planning, analytical thinking and organizational skills as well as strong interpersonal, teaching and communication (verbal and written) skills. Minimum of 8-10 years clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting working within interdisciplinary teams with children, adults or seniors with complex/tertiary rehabilitation needs is required. Working knowledge and experience with the National Implementation Research Network's Implementation Science frameworks and tools, and the ADKAR change management model. Experience in a position with responsibility for leadership or coordination of teams or programs. Must be able demonstrate resilience in the face of an ever-changing health care landscape and corresponding shifts in project priorities. Responsible to maintain active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta throughout the duration of employment. The successful incumbent will be capable of performing lifts, transfers, repositioning, and other physically demanding activities associated with mentoring and modelling with therapy staff or while holding a clinical caseload.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Connect Care and the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Familiarity with tertiary level physio modalities such as EKSO, Zero G, and CAREN is preferred.
