We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. The Truck Driver position offers an essential service in maintaining our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods between locations according to schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure personal and public safety
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type
- Proven experience driving large trucks or commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Physical ability to handle the demands of long hours on the road and manual handling of freight
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards is preferred
Pay: $19.95-$36.52 per hour
