Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of food industry standards. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety and sanitation, managing customer interactions, and maintaining high-quality service standards to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate team members to ensure efficient food preparation, serving, and cashiering processes
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Manage POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Monitor service times and manage workflow to optimize customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Train new staff on food safety protocols, POS operations, and customer service expectations
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health codes
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and inventory as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with knowledge of the food industry standards
- Strong background in food preparation, food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for cashiering and order management
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or managing teams in a restaurant or similar setting
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences
- Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and inventory management
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to increase sales opportunities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor suitable for team supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
