Vice President, Business Development

We are a fast-moving and highly entrepreneurial junior mining company focused on building strategic partnerships and advancing high-potential resource opportunities across multiple commodity divisions. We are seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Business Development to work directly alongside the CEO and help lead the company’s next stage of growth.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who understands the mining industry, thrives in a deal-driven environment, and can build strong relationships across the sector — from major mining companies to investors, First Nations partners, and international stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Business Development will play a key role in expanding the company’s strategic partnerships, advancing project development opportunities, and supporting financing initiatives across multiple divisions, including:
- Critical Metals Division
- Iron Ore Division
- Gold Division
- Lithium, Tantalum, Cesium & Beryllium Division
The successful candidate will work closely with the company’s board of directors, its finance and technical and executive teams to identify and secure new joint venture opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and support the advancement of the company’s growing international network, including Japanese partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and negotiate strategic partnerships and joint ventures
- Build relationships with major, mid-tier, and junior mining companies
- Support capital raising and investor outreach initiatives
- Work closely with First Nations groups, prospectors, mine finance companies, and industry stakeholders
- Attend and represent the company at mining conferences, investment events, and industry meetings
- Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and advance exploration and development opportunities
- Utilize the company’s extensive proprietary databases to generate new business opportunities
- Assist in expanding the company’s international business relationships and strategic alliances
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the mining industry, ideally with major, mid-tier, or aggressive junior mining companies
- Educational background in:
- Geology
- Engineering
- Business (MBA or Master’s degree preferred)
- Strong understanding of mining project development, joint ventures, and industry financing
- Proven relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
- Strong knowledge of mining-related software platforms, CRMs, and standard technical systems used within the industry
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel for conferences, meetings, and business development initiatives
About the Leadership Team
The successful candidate will work directly under a seasoned CEO with decades of experience in the junior mining sector, including:
- Over $400 million raised in equity financings
- 43 completed transactions with major mining companies
- More than 300 completed agreements involving First Nations groups, prospectors, junior mining companies, mine finance groups, and other industry partners
