County Line is seeking an experienced Installation Technician! If you love working in the agriculture sector, have strong mechanical and leadership abilities, and experience working with hogs or poultry then this job may be perfect for you!
Responsibilities may include:
- Installation or of equipment into hog and poultry barns
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Lead installation teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration among members.
- Perform physical labour in a fast pace environment.
- Occasionally haul a trailer to bring tools and/or equipment to site
- Employ hand and power tools safely while adhering to industry standards.
- Use technology in recording and reporting work orders
- Conduct regular maintenance checks
- May be requested to do some limited travel. Majority of the work is within 1.5 hours of Listowel. Occasional overnight stays may be required if over 2 hours away.
- Participate in the on call rotation.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Use Technology for Company equipment inspections
Skills Required:
- Thorough understanding of how Hog or poultry barns work (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Mechanically inclined.
- Hard working
- Adaptable
- Possess a positive attitude
- Be articulate with strong communication skills
- Possess leadership skills
- Be a team player.
- Carpentry and/or mechanical experience is preferred.
- Valid Ontario Drivers License (minimum G)
- Preference given to those possessing welding skills
- Ability to use smart phone for required apps.
Start at 7 am, Monday to Friday. Expected 44 hours a week but may lead into overtime. Ending times may vary depending on the jobs performed but we aim for 4-6 pm (Mon - Thurs), and 4 pm on a Friday when possible.
