Job Summary
Protek Bodies Corp is seeking an experienced Certified Rigger to assist with the relocation, dismantling, removal, and loading of industrial machinery from an active industrial facility. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of rigging practices, heavy equipment handling, and workplace safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute safe rigging operations for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Assist with dismantling, lifting, moving, and loading machinery for transport.
- Inspect rigging equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Work closely with project managers, crane operators, millwrights, and transport personnel.
- Read and interpret lifting plans, load charts, and equipment specifications.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct pre-lift inspections and hazard assessments.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Rigger certification (required).
- Minimum 3 years of industrial rigging experience.
- Experience with machinery moving, plant shutdowns, or equipment relocation projects.
- Knowledge of slings, chains, shackles, hoists, spreader bars, and lifting devices.
- Ability to read lift plans and follow engineering specifications.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Forklift, telehandler, aerial lift, or crane-related certifications are considered assets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
Requirements
- CSA-approved safety boots and PPE.
- Valid driver's license.

Pay: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
