About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Vinyl Installer to join our team as we expand our services. Currently, we specialize in automotive protection, and we are looking for the right person to help us grow our vinyl wrap and chrome delete aspect of our business.
While we currently focus on bulk installations, we are ready to invest in a dedicated vinyl plotter and printing setup for the right candidate. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled installer who wants to have a say in the equipment and processes used in a professional shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Perform full-body color changes, precise chrome deletes, and roof blackouts with clean, seamless edges.
- Surface Prep: Thoroughly clean and decontaminate vehicles to ensure long-term adhesion and a bubble-free finish.
- Consult & Setup: Help us transition into in-house production by providing expertise on setting up and operating a vinyl plotter and printer.
- Disassembly/Reassembly: Safely remove and reinstall mirrors, door handles, and trim as needed for a professional-grade install.
- Quality Control: Inspect your own work to ensure there is no lifting, overstretching, or visible original paint in the gaps.
What We’re Looking For
- Self-Starter & Problem Solver: Since you’ll be helping us build this side of the business, we need someone who can work independently and figure out the best way to handle new challenges.
- Technical Knowledge: You have experience not just with the film, but with the software and hardware (plotters/printers) required for a modern wrap shop.
- Attention to Detail: You take pride in a clean install, the kind of work that keeps customers coming back.
- Adaptability & Composure: You stay level-headed when the shop gets busy or the schedule shifts. We value a stable temper and the ability to pivot to new priorities without getting flustered.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience with color-change vinyl.
- Prior experience operating and maintaining wide-format printers and vinyl plotters.
- Proficiency in hand-trimming and knifeless tape techniques.
- A reliable, professional attitude toward your craft and your teammates.
Compensation
- Pay Range: Starting hourly rate is adjusted based on your specific skill level, technical proficiency, and years of experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Benefits:
- On-site parking
- Store discount
Work Location: In person
