Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, certified Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) Technician 2 to join our team at Western Surgery Centre. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and effective sterilization and reprocessing of medical instruments and devices used in patient care.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and reprocessing of a wide range of medical devices and instruments following strict established protocols.
- Assist in Operating Room (OR) cleaning and efficient room turnover between surgical cases to maintain clinic flow and strict safety standards.
- Inspect, test, and assemble reprocessed devices to ensure they meet our rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, and other specialized machinery.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure the timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels.
- Receive and confirm incoming deliveries and supplies, assisting with inventory management and tracking stock levels.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MDR Certification is required (Must hold a recognized Canadian Medical Device Reprocessing certification/training program aligned with CSA standards).
- Legal Eligibility: Must be currently eligible to work in Canada. Please note: We are unable to provide international sponsorship for this position.
- Prior experience in medical device reprocessing or a high-volume surgical environment is preferred.
- A strong, proactive work ethic and the ability to thrive in a busy, efficient clinic.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret instructions and documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and safety protocols consistently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Hours: Primarily daytime, weekday hours.
- Flexibility: To support our surgical team and clinic volumes, off-peak hours and Saturday shifts may be required on an as-needed basis.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
