Job Overview;
We are seeking Industrial Services Technicians and skilled labourers. Industrial Service Technician or IST is an industrial building trade requiring multi faceted skills. The training for this trade is hands on with our company and is not offered elsewhere. General skills with hand tools, power tools, access equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts are part of this trade. As well as abilities in rope access, fall protection, waterproofing, sand blasting, hi pressure water blasting, working at heights, asbestos awareness training. There are many facets to this work. If you have another trade already or are just used to tools and hard work and are considering a change we should talk.
One of the most important aspects to this job is a strong and healthy approach to working hard no matter the weather. The heat of summer as well as the rain of the fall must not interfere with the ability to tell or laugh at a good joke...but even more importantly a kind and patient friendship with your fellow workers. This is all important. We often find that people that have worked on farms, especially where they were responsible for animals, have many of the qualities we look for.
Our company works in town (the Port of Vancouver mostly and Langley at our shop) as well as across Canada from May to September. Our out of town rates and conditions are fair and thoughtful. We try to ensure a level of care that makes the experience both safe and enjoyable. Seeing the country is a free bonus!
