Carpenter Canada Co. has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator on the morning shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) at our Calgary manufacturing plant.
The successful candidate will be expected to operate manual and automated slitters, label and package products, and transport products to the shipping area.
Additional responsibilities of the Machine Operator will include:
- Read and adhere to the safe work procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Verify conformance of the produced material to specifications.
- Ensure proper labels and materials are used in the production process.
- Manually package product in plastic wrap as needed.
- Performs housekeeping on equipment and surrounding work area.
Skills and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- High attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
