Duties
- Ensure all kitchen areas, utensils, dishes, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff to support meal service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen stations, and storage spaces to promote a safe and organized workspace.
- Support food handling procedures by properly storing ingredients and supplies to prevent contamination.
- Help with dishwashing duties during busy service hours to keep up with high-volume demands.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment use.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of food handling and preparation practices.
