Plant Manager
Shelburne, ON
$130,000 – $150,000 + Annual Bonus
At Ice River Sustainable Solutions, we don't just manufacture bottled water: We're building one of North America's most innovative and sustainable beverage manufacturing organizations.
We're looking for a technical manufacturing leader who understands that great operations begin with reliable equipment, but also recognizes that true plant leadership means balancing the needs of Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Safety, and the business as a whole.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who built their career through Maintenance, Engineering, or Technical Operations before progressing into broader operational leadership. Whether you're currently a Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or Production Manager, we're looking for someone who has successfully transitioned beyond maintenance while maintaining the technical credibility to lead and challenge a highly skilled maintenance team.
If you're passionate about equipment reliability, operational excellence, developing people, and making decisions that improve the performance of an entire manufacturing operation, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director, Operations, you'll provide leadership across all aspects of our Shelburne Water operation, including:
-
Leading day-to-day plant operations across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Safety
-
Driving operational performance through safety, quality, productivity, cost, and customer service excellence
-
Providing technical leadership to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime
-
Partnering closely with Maintenance leadership to strengthen preventive maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and long-term asset performance
-
Balancing operational priorities to ensure decisions support the overall success of the plant—not just one department
-
Leading, coaching, and developing supervisors and frontline leaders while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
-
Managing operating budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business results
-
Building strong cross-functional relationships while maintaining a highly visible leadership presence on the production floor
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will bring a unique combination of technical expertise and operational leadership.
Required Qualifications
-
Progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
-
Strong technical background through Maintenance Management, Engineering Management, Reliability Leadership, or a similar technical leadership role
-
Demonstrated progression into broader operational leadership with responsibility for multiple functional areas, such as Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Planning, or Supply Chain
-
Experience within Food, Beverage, or High-Speed Packaging manufacturing
-
Experience leading highly automated manufacturing operations with a strong focus on equipment reliability, operational performance, and continuous improvement
-
Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, capital planning, and KPI management
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience as a Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, or a similar operational leadership role
-
Experience within a high-speed bottling environment
-
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who:
-
Earned the respect of maintenance teams through strong technical knowledge and hands-on leadership
-
Understands how decisions made in Maintenance impact Production, Quality, Warehouse, Safety, and customer service
-
Thinks beyond individual departments and makes decisions that improve overall plant performance
-
Leads with urgency, accountability, and sound judgment
-
Is comfortable challenging ideas, driving change, and making difficult decisions when necessary
-
Builds strong teams through coaching, mentorship, and collaboration
-
Enjoys being present on the production floor and leading by example
