About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you'll provide leadership for our housing programs, oversee a dedicated team, build community partnerships, and ensure high-quality, person-centred services that help individuals achieve and maintain stable housing.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership for Housing Services
- Oversee all facets of housing program delivery, including planning,implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure programs meet Housing First and intensive case management standards.
- Monitor caseloads, service quality, and participant outcomes.
- Identify emerging needs and adjust program approaches accordingly.
- Create and maintain active program manuals and procedures
Staff Supervision & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor housing program staff.
- Provide regular supervision, performance evaluations, and coaching.
- Ensure staff have the tools, training, and support needed to deliver high-quality services.
- Support Staff wellness and promote a safe workplace
Participant Services & Quality Assurance
- Ensure participants receive individualized, strengths-based, trauma-informed support.
- Oversee completion of assessments, documentation, and case plans.
- Support staff in navigating complex participants needs, crises, and multiagency coordination.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Community Partnerships & Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, housing providers, health services, and community partners.
- Represent Open Arms at internal and external meetings, committees, and collaborative tables.
- Support coordinated access and system navigation efforts across the region.
Program Administration & Reporting
- Develop and monitor program budgets in collaboration with the Leadership team
- Ensure compliance with funder requirements, outcome reporting, and data quality standards.
- Prepare proposals, reports, and program updates as required.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure staff do the same.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Sciences, Sociology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in housing, homelessness, or social services
- Strong understanding of Housing First, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practice
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
- HIFIS experience, Crisis Intervention, and motivational interview training are considered an asset

Pay: $68,000.00-$76,000.00 per year
