Job Description
Mainsteel is a small service-based contracting company located in Brantford, Ontario with a lot of growth potential. We provide millwrighting services including preventive maintenance, equipment repair, shift coverage, machining, designing solutions and high-quality custom metal fabricating along with Structural Fabrication and Installs.
Responsibilities
- Install structures, equipment, buildings, piping, machines
- Maintain, and troubleshoot on production equipment
- Conducting Preventative Maintenance activities and prioritizing tasks accordingly
- Experience laying out, fitting, welding (SMAW, FCAW, MCAW, GMAW, GTAW) and custom fabrication
- Ability to design and fabricate one-off pieces independently, as well as following blueprints and verbal direction
- Working independently, as well as in a team
- Represent Mainsteel in a professional manner
- Travel to/from various job sites (Local and Out of Town)
Millwright Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Previous work experience as a millwright
- Certificate of Qualification - Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Considered an Asset
- CWB certification and welding experience (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) (Asset)
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Good mathematical skills
- Ability to read tape measures and other measuring equipment
- Safety and punctuality are a must
- G License with clean driving abstract

Additional pay: Overtime pay (After 44 hours)

- Monday to Friday
- On call (when needed)
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
