Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker/Technician to join our dynamic team. The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall operation and appearance of the property. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained to provide an excellent guest experience
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, hallways, lobby, and exterior areas
- Repair plumbing issues
- Repair drywall, paint, and patch walls as needed
- Replace light fixtures, bulbs, and electrical switches
- Troubleshoot minor HVAC issues
- Maintain doors, locks, and windows
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance programs
- Monitor and maintain hot water systems, and HVAC units
- Check fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting
- Snow removal and salting (seasonal)
- Lawn care and basic landscaping
- Maintain parking lot and exterior lighting
- Maintain maintenance logs and work orders
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests
- Coordinate with contractors when required
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
Experience
- Previous hotel or building maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule (may include evenings and weekends)
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
