About Cowboys Casino
Cowboys Casino was established in 2011 and is owned by the Calgary Stampede. Located in the heart of downtown Calgary, Cowboys Casino is home to over 280 employees in 7 different departments. The facility is open to the public 9:30AM – 5AM daily, has 3 restaurants, a dancehall, 32 table games, a 24-hour Poker room, over 370 slot machines and a sport viewing lounge. Operating 364 days a year Cowboys Casino is a staple in the city of Calgary and a premier entertainment destination.
The job
We currently have 1* open Seasonal (STAMPEDE*) position for Bar Assistants (BA) to work in our ridiculously fun Centre Bar department. If your idea of a good time is running yourself ragged in a packed casino full of thirsty Stampede goers (with an amazing team) then boy, is this the job for you!
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like
- Stock beer, wine, liquor, ice, mixers and dry goods
- Wash and stock glassware and utensils
- Clean bar area. Like, a lot
- And any other duties the manager, supervisor, or bartender might have for you
Here’s what we’d like to see from you
- Previous customer service experience. Nothing crazy, just something that says I like people and can interact with them.
- You are self motivated and hard working. A lot of your time will be spent on your own, running around the building.
- Some sort of beverage experience is an asset. Knowing your way around a bar will help you pick up the job more quickly but it’s not a deal breaker
- Good Health and Hygiene. Yup! You are going to, at times, be working shoulder to shoulder with your team— literally.
- An interest in learning about food and beverage service.
- A cheerful, positive attitude.
- The ability to work in a team environment. (See good health and hygiene)
- The ability to deal with stressful situations.
- And you’ll need your ProServe
