Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, guest service and a strong background in food service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus
- Make suggestions and recommendations regarding food and drink choices and pairings.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper presentation
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and bar
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables while providing attentive service
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with a strong understanding of the food industry
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in sanitation practices within the bar and dining areas is essential
- Knowledge & experience in preparing an serving cocktails is an asset
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry
