About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transportation Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting environment focused on delivering high-quality infrastructure and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects including roadways, highways, intersections, and active transportation systems
- Develop detailed engineering designs including horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, drainage, roadway geometry, signage, and pavement markings
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant tools to produce high-quality deliverables
- Support project coordination activities including scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and data collection to support design and project execution
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utility providers, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and presentations
- Assist in preparing proposals, work plans, and technical documentation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Support contract administration and construction phase activities as required
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in transportation or roadway design, preferably within a consulting environment
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility to obtain licensure in Ontario
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with transportation design tools
- Solid understanding of transportation engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience working on municipal and/or infrastructure projects is highly preferred
- Strong communication, coordination, and technical writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and within a team environment
- Experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or business development is considered an asset
- Willingness to participate in fieldwork and site visits as required
Preferred / Value-Add Experience
- Exposure to traffic engineering, signal design, or transportation planning
- Experience with environmental assessments or permitting processes
- Involvement in construction inspection or contract administration
- Prior experience mentoring junior staff or leading small project components
