WHAT WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
The Outside Contractor Sales Representative (OCSR) is responsible for selling building material products or services and growing our contractor sales in Muskoka. They are responsible to meet and exceed sales objectives targeted for current and potential customers by promoting our products and services, effective management, and visits to the customer/ contractor sites, along with store responsibilities. This individual will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with contractors and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.
WHAT ARE YOUR DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS?
· Proven history in building relationships and acquiring outside contracts.
· Must possess knowledge and/or experience with standard lumber and building materials.
· Knowledge and/or experience with quotes, updating customer relation management tools, prospecting, closing deals, handling customer rejection/acceptance, etc.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills to deal with large customer base.
· Energetic and self-motivated and determined to meet challenges with a positive attitude.
· Ability to work independently and remain focused on individual and team goals.
· Excellent listening and communication skills.
* The OSCR is responsible for quoting all key product categories (Lumber, Trusses, EWP, Windows, Trim & Doors, Drywall & Insulation, Siding, and roofing) for their accounts, and completing administrative tasks
· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Must have valid Driver’s License- able to travel as required
