Before & After School Care Teacher (ECE / ECEA / Responsible Adult)
Top Drawer Daycare is currently looking for a caring, reliable, energetic, and professional team member to join our growing Before & After School Care Program.
We welcome applications from qualified ECEs, ECE Assistants (ECEA), and Responsible Adults who are passionate about working with children and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for school-age children.
Position Details
- Part-time position
- Minimum 20 hours per week
- Up to 30 hours per week available
- Approximately 4–6 hours per day
- Wage starting at $20.00 per hour
- Wage increases based on qualifications, experience, and driving responsibilities, with opportunities to earn up to $25.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of school-age children
- Plan and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe program space
- Communicate professionally with families, children, and team members
- Assist with school pick-ups and transportation when required
Qualifications
- ECE, ECEA, or Responsible Adult certification
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Three professional reference letters
Driver’s License Requirement
A valid driver’s license is considered a strong asset.
Applicants who do not currently hold an unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License are welcome to apply; however, successful candidates will be expected to obtain their unrestricted Class 5 License within approximately two months of employment.
Additional opportunities and wage increases may be available for employees who are able to assist with transportation responsibilities.
Pay: $17.85-$26.00 per hour
