Keywest Asphalt group is a leading highway and municipal paving and civil contracting company serving British Columbia for over 30 years. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and motivated Equipment Manager to oversee our fleet and heavy equipment operations.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the company's fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and support vehicles.
- Coordinate equipment scheduling with project managers, dispatch, and operations.
- Plan and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure equipment inspections, repairs, and servicing are completed on schedule.
- Coordinate with mechanics and external repair vendors.
- Monitor equipment utilization and downtime to maximize productivity.
- Maintain maintenance records, service history, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with equipment purchases, rentals, and disposals.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and operating expenses.
- Support field crews by ensuring equipment availability for projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing heavy equipment or fleet operations.
- Experience in asphalt paving, civil construction, or a related industry is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and commercial trucks.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and fleet maintenance software.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 1 is an asset).
