Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. This role involves providing high-quality meal service and support within a healthcare environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and client preferences
- Assist with food handling, cooking, and meal preparation tasks
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to clients and staff
- Maintain accurate food inventory and assist with stock rotation
- Follow safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and infection control
- Support meal delivery, serving, and cleanup activities before, during, and after meal times
- Assist with special dietary needs and accommodate individual resident requests when possible
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, food preparation, or related roles preferred
- Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic kitchen skills including cooking, serving, and cleaning
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to health regulations
Pay: $22.51-$24.08 per hour
