The Retail Sales Technician is responsible for the day-to-day summer operations, sales and transactions and must provide excellent customer assistance. The successful candidate will have with a strong passion for the bike industry as well as ski and board knowledge. This person would play a key role in supporting the team and customers with more technical information and in depth product knowledge.
MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES

POS Sales Processing/Paper Handling

Process all sales transactions in a friendly and efficient manner

File forms, vouchers and documents in appropriate locations

Accurate and efficient cash handling, balance end of day cash-outs

Customer Service
-
Provide customers with excellent service and a memorable shopping experience

Possess good product knowledge – know what you are selling

Keep the shop environment upbeat and comfortable
-
Answer phones & reply to work emails
-
Be able to answer questions about Red Mountain Resort services and on-mountain activities
Inventory & Merchandising

Ensure environment is always clean, tidy, attractive, and inviting

Receive merchandise, reconcile with packing slip & tag stock
-
Note inventory levels; inform supervisor re: low stock items
-
Be aware of backroom stock availability

Re-stock shelves and racks as required
-
Be alert and help to prevent any loss of merchandise
Education
-
High School diploma minimum
-
Post secondary education an asset
Experience
-
Mountain Bike industry/retail experience would be preferred.

Good retail product knowledge
-
Knowledge of Red Mountain Resort, Rossland and their history
-
Cash handling experience required
-
Retail shop experience required

Experience with POS software

Proficiency with Excel & Word

Able to troubleshoot computer problems
Physical and Other Requirements

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Ability to work on your feet for long period of time

Ability to carry stock up several flights of stairs
