What You'll Do:
This position within the company is expected to consistently perform high-quality work including blown-in, spray foam, batt installations and removals in attics, walls and crawlspaces. You will work closely with another insulation installer as part of a team. Your performance will depend on your entire team’s quality, safety, and efficiency. Therefore, it will be important for you to help other members of your crew perform at a high level.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Safety: Adheres to jobsite safety in accordance with all federal, provincial, and local occupational and health and safety laws. Ensures that rig is safely driven to jobsite locations. Knowledgeable in spray polyurethane foam safety protocol and willing to obtain UPC Certification within 90 days of employment.
2. Operations: Ensures that enough supplies are on hand. Removes and installs insulation based on specifications of each job. Ensures all guidelines are followed with equipment set up and operation. Completes high quality with each job while maintaining efficiency. Has working knowledge of all types of insulation installation (blown-in, spray foam, and batts) and consistently performs quality checks.
3. Technical: Ensures insulation rigs and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order. Ability to operate, maintain, and diagnose issues with equipment. Has knowledge of how to break down and clean a spray foam gun as well as how to troubleshoot actual chemical issues.
4. Customer Service: Communicates professionally with customer and completes paperwork. Ensures that team presents a professional image and that jobsite is thoroughly cleaned upon completing the job.
5. Other: Continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety. Communicates any issues to management. Performs other related duties as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experiencing running a rig
- Ability to troubleshoot, operate, and maintain equipment.
- Excellent time management and organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical / troubleshooting skills.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of prior experience in blown in Cellulose & Fibreglass installation is required.
- Experience working with respirators / face masks preferred.
- Experience working in attics and confined spaces preferred.
- Experience working in both new construction and retrofit applications preferred.
- Experience driving Commercial vehicles preferred (reference required).
- Experience with electronic CRM system preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
- Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, dust/dirt, hazardous chemicals, and heights.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds frequently.
