Responsibilities
As a Concrete Labourer, you will:
- Assist with the preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete.
- Set up and strip concrete forms.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist concrete finishers with screeding, bull floating, edging, and cleanup.
- Prepare job sites by measuring, grading, and excavating as required.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Assist with reinforcing steel installation and concrete pours.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous construction or concrete experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with reliable transportation is preferred.
- Experience operating skid steers, plate compactors, power trowels, or other construction equipment is considered an asset.
