Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pipe Layer / Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various pipeline installation projects, requiring physical endurance, technical knowledge, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. Duties
- Assist with the installation and repair of underground pipelines, including water, sewer, and utility lines.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging tools to excavate and position pipes accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing pipe sections.
- Perform site preparation activities including trenching, shoring, and backfilling.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high safety standards.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy machinery..
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting and positioning pipes or materials safely.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including bucket operation and general heavy machinery operation.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship.
