Welcome aboard Hot Voyage, Vancouver's premier floating sauna experience. We operate a custom 35-foot sauna boat in the beautiful waters of Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm, and we are seeking a highly skilled and energetic SVOP or Master 60GT Captain to join our weekend operations team.
This is a dedicated Captain position. Your primary duty will be safely operating our custom 35-foot sauna boat (under 15GT) to facilitate high-end wellness and celebration experiences on the water. Additionally, you will be required to operate our tiller handle dinghy to transport passengers to and from the sauna boat when necessary.
To ensure the highest standard of safety and service, 80 hours of mandatory training will be required before you are cleared to operate independently as a Captain.

Responsibilities
- Safely command and navigate our custom 35-foot sauna boat (under 15GT) throughout Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm.
- Operate a tiller handle dinghy safely and efficiently to transport guests to and from the main vessel if required.
- Successfully complete 80 hours of mandatory on-the-water training prior to independent operation.
- Deliver an exceptional, welcoming, and safe hospitality experience for all guests.
- Conduct clear, professional, and comprehensive passenger safety briefings prior to departure.
- Ensure all vessels are kept clean, well-maintained, and operationally ready.
Requirements & Transport Canada Certifications
- Valid SVOP (Small Vessel Operator Proficiency) or Master 60GT certification.
- Valid SDV-BS (Small Domestic Vessel Basic Safety) or MED A3 certification.
- Valid Marine Basic First Aid (or higher) certification.
- Valid ROC-M (Restricted Operator's Certificate - Maritime) for VHF radio operation.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience driving boats with outboard motors as well as tiller handles.
- Exceptional situational awareness and a strong, proactive safety mindset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
