This is a Mainframe DevOps contract opportunity supporting a modernization initiative focused on automating the mainframe SDLC. The organization uses Endevor as its source code repository and change management system, and the successful candidate will help design and implement end-to-end deployment workflows to automate code promotion from development to SIT/UAT and production.
- Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.

Quality and Security: Embed security and compliance checks into the build and deploy processes.

Monitoring & Support: Proactively monitor system performance, availability, and incident management.

Documenting processes and workflows for ongoing support and audit compliance.
- Working knowledge of mainframe architecture z/OS and USS
-
Strong administrative and operational knowledge of DevOps Deploy on z/OS, including expertise in code packaging, deployments, and overall product management

Experience with DevOps Deploy integrations with the mainframe SDLC (deployment of versions to SIT, UAT, and production with differing R&R for each environment)

UNIX experience, including coding of JavaScript
- Experience setting up partial Deploy and Rollback process workflows

Experience setting up DevOps Deploy in a cluster configuration (active-passive) for both application and database components

z/OS experience, especially coding simple to mid-complexity REXX/JCL

Experience in z/OS development and operations environments TSO/E, ISPF, USS, SDSF, z/OSMF

DevOps Engineering and/or SRE background
- 5 years of experience in a related mainframe DevOps role
- 2 years of experience setting up partial Deploy and Rollback process workflows
