- Complete detailing work while serving as the team's working foreman.
- Plan, sequence, and monitor the day's scheduled work to ensure all jobs are completed by promised delivery times.
- Perform quality control inspections and maintain high workmanship standards while minimizing comebacks and rework.
- Monitor team productivity and ensure work is completed efficiently without compromising quality.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for detailing and glass technicians.
- Communicate with the Service Manager when workloads require schedule adjustments or additional resources.
- Develop and implement a structured onboarding and training program for new detailing team members.
- Coach employees through regular feedback, performance discussions, and skill development.
- Identify opportunities to improve shop processes, workflows, equipment usage, and overall efficiency.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-first culture built on respect, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in weekly coaching and partnership feedback sessions with the team and Service Manager
Required Skills & Experience:
- Several years of professional automotive detailing experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work the first time.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple vehicles and deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead by example and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Comfortable providing constructive feedback while developing others.
- Process-oriented mindset with a desire to improve systems and drive operational excellence.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of automotive detailing, including standing, bending, lifting, and working in varying shop conditions.
Compensation: competitive hourly wage based on experience and performance-based bonus program tied to team performance and operational results.
