As a Multiple Program CASUAL, you will be a key player in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment. You will work alongside participants to help them grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. Your role will involve fully engaging in all aspects of the group living and person-centered experience, offering both emotional and physical support while being a positive role model. The Multiple Program Casual role provides backfill for Care Workers.
The Multiple Program CASUAL will work in a shift work environment as we operate 365/24/7.
Work Hours:
- Weekdays 23:30-09:30, 15:00-00:00
- Weekends and non-school days 08:00-20:00, 09:00-21:00, 10:00-22:00, 11:00-23:00, 12:00-00:00, 23:30-11:30

Eligible Applicants Will Possess:
- High school diploma
- Valid Novice 2 or higher Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver License and be eligible for commercial auto insurance coverage
- An outgoing personality with a desire to build genuine relationships with children, youth and/or adults
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to display empathy, patience, and understanding in day-to-day interactions.
Additional Requirements for CASUAL position:
- Must be able to complete all mandatory training requirements for the position as per agency policy and guidelines. Mandatory training occurs during the work week, daytime hours.
- Must be available for a minimum of 8 shifts in a month (Availability submitted 1 month in advance).
- Must be able to complete an on-call stand by every 8-10 weeks. On call hours are Friday 6pm to Monday 9am (Possibility of working daytime, overnight or split shift).

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide relief care and support to vulnerable persons with complex needs, behavioural issues, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or other related issues.
- Maintain a therapeutic milieu.
- Participate in the implementation of activity plans.
- Engage and fully participate with the participants.
- Teach participants life skills such as self care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and positive interactions.
- Resolve conflicts and respond to crisis situations using behavioural management and support methods including conflict resolution, crisis management, and life space interviewing.
- Complete reports and documentation clearly, accurately, in a timely manner, and within agency standards.
- Transport participants as required.
- Display positive role modelling, agency values, and fairness.
- Submit receipts and reconcile expenses for unit manager approved expenditures.
- Ensure mileage log is completed accurately when agency vehicle is used.
- Ensure care, cleanliness, and maintenance of assigned assets and resources including; building(s), vehicles(s), furnishings, and equipment.
- Maintain, promote, and reinforce safe work habits, practices, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Wage:
- Starting at $20.97 per hour, depending on experience.
