The Truck Driver – Landscape & Masonry is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of landscape, masonry, and building materials to residential, commercial, and contractor customers throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This role serves as an ambassador of Casey Concrete, ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, equipment care, and operational efficiency.
Regular Job Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport and deliver landscape, masonry, and building materials to residential, commercial, and contractor customers throughout New Brunswick.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects, maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure all loads are accurately picked, properly secured, and transported in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies, and load securement standards.
- Deliver materials safely and on schedule, verifying orders with customers, obtaining proof of delivery, and completing all required delivery documentation accurately.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service by communicating effectively, addressing delivery concerns, and representing Casey Concrete in a positive manner at all times.
- Safely operate truck-mounted equipment, forklifts, or Moffett forklifts (where certified) to load, unload, and position materials.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicles, including monitoring fuel, fluid levels, tires, and overall roadworthiness.
- Support branch operations when not completing deliveries by assisting with loading customer vehicles, preparing orders, organizing inventory, receiving shipments, general yard maintenance, housekeeping, and seasonal snow removal.
- Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety legislation, company policies, safe work practices, Hours of Service regulations, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives while reporting hazards, incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain reliable attendance, work collaboratively with coworkers across the branch, and perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the Landscape & Masonry division.
Must Have's
- Class 1 license, and/or Class 3, with boom certification
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Minimum of 3-years related driving experience
- Positive attitude
- Good team player
