Fluey Trading Inc. is seeking an energetic, reliable, and high-performing Day Shift Warehouse Lead Hand to head our floor team in a fast-paced food distribution environment. You will work directly alongside the warehouse crew executing core fulfillment tasks while serving as the driving force on the floor, keeping the team on track, maintaining the pace, and taking personal responsibility for order accuracy and operational flow.

Key Responsibilities
Floor Leadership & Pace Setting
- Drive Floor Execution: Act as the main driver on the warehouse floor, coordinating daily tasks for the crew to ensure shipping, receiving, and order processing move efficiently.
- Lead by Example: Set the standard for speed, work ethic, and accuracy by executing core warehouse tasks at a high level.
- Guide & Support: Keep the team organized, clear up confusion regarding order priorities, and help troubleshoot floor bottlenecks as they happen.
- Point of Contact: Act as the go-to person on the floor for delivery drivers, walk-in customers, and staff questions, keeping operations moving without constant management intervention.
Hands-on Order Fulfillment & Logistics
- High-Accuracy Picking: Pick customer orders with high accuracy and strong attention to detail, handling high-priority accounts personally.
- Staging & Verification: Prepare, stage, and double-check delivery orders, pickup orders, and walk-in customer orders to guarantee exact quantities.
- Shipping & Receiving: Lead the loading and unloading of trucks safely and efficiently; check incoming products against paperwork and manifests.
Warehouse Operations
- Facility Integrity: Take ownership of the cleanliness, organization, and safety of coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas.
- Inventory & Product Care: Ensure strict compliance with product rotation (FIFO), proper handling of perishable goods/meat products, and lead routine inventory counts.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of warehouse experience required. Deep familiarity with fresh food/meat products and cold-storage environments is a major asset.
- Leadership Capability: A natural driver with a strong work ethic. Punctual, reliable, and capable of multi-tasking and keeping a team focused under pressure.
- Physical & Environmental: Ability to lift 60+ lbs regularly and comfortable working continuously in low-temperature environments (coolers/freezers).
- Communication & Service: Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking). Professional and clear when communicating with the team, drivers, and customers.
- Logistics: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation required; experience driving company vehicles is a strong asset.
- Availability: Must attend orientation and complete on-the-job training. Includes a three-month probationary period.
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday (hours/days are subject to adjustments). 35–40 hours per week.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Pay Rate: $19 – $22.00 per hour (based on exprience)
