Synchena Consulting Inc is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill an Asset Management Coordinator role reporting to the Director/CEO.
Our primary clients are municipalities that own and operate a wide range of infrastructure assets, including water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation networks. Responsibilities of the asset management coordinator will include maintaining and managing the asset registry of our clients, developing and maintaining asset management plans, policies, and strategies. Championing and fostering knowledge of asset management principles with clients and being a subject matter expert for their organization.
Coordinating asset management activities and uses across departments, such as public works field condition assessments, providing data to the municipal financial team, identifying data gaps in client datasets, assisting with defining levels of service, risk assessments and lifecycle strategies alongside clients.
The successful candidate would show a strong understanding of municipal infrastructure and technology.

This individual would be working at our offices at 661 Hoddinott Rd, East St Paul, MB as well as having an onsite presence at our clients, all located in the capital region of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Occasional work from home is negotiable.

Synchena Consulting Inc is a GIS and Municipal Asset Management consulting firm located in East St Paul, MB. We provide (Geographic Information Systems) and Asset Management support to municipalities and other local government agencies in the capital region of Winnipeg.
Responsibilities
- Responsible input and maintaining data in Asset Management Software.
- Coordinate with municipal public works team to perform field data collection.
- Develop periodic reports regarding state of assets for clients.
- Act as the asset management subject matter expert for our municipal clients.
- Assist in defining levels of service, risk assessments, lifecycle strategies.
- Coordinate and lead the asset management team for our municipal clients.
- Supervise summer students.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Esri’s ArcGIS software.
- High technical aptitude for software (CAD, GIS, Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to write technical and detailed reports.
- Comfortable with travel outside of Winnipeg, in rural municipal government offices (within 45 minute range of Winnipeg).
- Ability to work independently without supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills, adaptable, flexible and tactful.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineer, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), or GIS Professional, or equivalent.
- Asset management certification preferred.
- Experience with asset management practices preferred.
- Experience with municipal infrastructure preferred.
- Valid Manitoba drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
- Must pass criminal record check.
Salary/Benefits
- Salary Range $75,000-$90,000.
- Full-time permanent position, 40 hours a week.
- 3 month probation period.

Experience:
