Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical work, schematic reading, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. The Maintenance Electrician will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our operations through expert electrical maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately perform installations and repairs.
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and control panels.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment to perform maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Install, repair, and upgrade electrical components in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Work on renovation projects involving electrical systems, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they cause failures or safety hazards.
- Assist with construction projects related to electrical infrastructure upgrades or new installations.
- Apply handyman skills for general maintenance tasks as needed to support overall facility operations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, power tools, and hand tools used in electrical work.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
