Through the City of North Vancouver, Lonsdale Energy has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Accounting and Office Administrator to join their team for approximately 14 months.
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will help facilitate the full-cycle accounting of the Company. This includes entering payables and receivables, journal entries; purchase orders; assisting in the preparation of reports and budgets; communicating with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders on accounting related matters; understanding, monitoring, and applying controls; and assisting the Finance Team in preparing the Company’s financial statements in adherence to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will have the opportunity to work in a wide variety of accounting and financial competencies, as well as grow and accept new responsibilities over time.
In this position, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to management and staff to facilitate efficient operations. You will support staff with administrative tasks, setting up meetings, taking minutes, managing office supplies, communications support, building forms, and providing support for staff needs. You will assist in the information and records management of the Company including physical files and electronic documents. These files must be organized to ensure that the completeness, accessibility, and confidentiality of the Lonsdale Energy’s records are maintained. You will share responsibility for managing and maintaining the Company’s intranet to provide resources and information to staff.
Your proactive, detail-oriented, professional, and personable attitude will support your interaction with staff and stakeholders to efficiently resolve issues related to Lonsdale Energy services. Demonstrated success in outstanding organizational, planning, time management, and multi-tasking skills are essential. Superior communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, initiative and a strong work ethic, the ability to deal diplomatically with stakeholders, and an eye for sustainable process improvements will ensure your success in this position. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
You possess post-secondary education in accounting and/or Business Administration with related experience in accounting or finance. Administrative and/or records management experience would be an asset.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.

Through the City of North Vancouver, LEC offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. The salary range is: $74,064 to $87,144 annually (2026 rates).
