Role Overview
The Maintenance Senior Technician is responsible for production and facility operations by performing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role involves setting up production lines, conducting preventive maintenance, assisting with equipment calibration, and ensuring all machinery runs safely and efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Production and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs on production equipment, including filling, packing, labeling, capping, and compounding machines.
- Set up and prepare machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
- Calibrate filling and packaging machines to ensure accurate operation and compliance with quality standards.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Record maintenance activities, downtime, and corrective actions accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety policies, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free of hazards and obstructions.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to support continuous operation and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience in equipment maintenance or a production technician role.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and production equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with PLC systems (troubleshooting or monitoring).
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, or instrumentation systems.
- Certification in maintenance, millwright, or related technical field.
