Machine Operator
Location: Toronto, ON
Pay Rate: Will be discussed during the interview based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor food processing machinery (fillers, sealers, labelers, etc.)
- Assemble and disassemble machines and equipment for production runs, cleaning, and maintenance
- Perform thorough washing and sanitation of machines and parts following cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- Perform routine checks to ensure proper machine functionality and product quality
- Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation procedures
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment
- Record production data, downtime, and quality checks accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area at all times
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues
Requirements
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or machine operation preferred
- Experience with equipment assembly/disassembly and sanitation processes is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP)
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg
- Willingness to learn and grow
Working Conditions
- Exposure to food production environments, including cold and hot areas
- Frequent contact with water
- May require overtime and occasional weekend work based on production needs
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
