Position #1 (10.5 hrs/wk)
- Wednesday: 2:00-5:00 PM
- Thursday: 1:00-5:00 PM
- Friday: 1:00-4:30 PM
Position #2 (24 hrs/wk)
- Tuesday: 9:00-4:30 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00-2:30 PM
- Thursday: 9:00-3:30 PM
- Friday: 12:00-4:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Community Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with diverse abilities—including those who may present with challenging behaviors—in 1:1, 1:3, and small group settings. You’ll assist individuals in reaching personal goals, enhancing their independence, and participating fully in their home and community life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support in a variety of settings (home, community, small groups)
- Assist with daily living skills development: physical, emotional, social, recreational, vocational, and economic
- Promote independence and community engagement
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and documentation of individualized Service Plans
- Facilitate small group activities with creativity and enthusiasm
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in disability support, social services, or a related field (preferred)
- Certificate/Diploma in Disability Support, Community Services, or related field (asset)
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism (asset)
- Immediate availability (asset)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and a clear Driver’s Abstract
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector) through the Ministry of Justice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Dependable, with a strong work ethic and sound problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to empowering individuals with disabilities
To Be Obtained Within 3 Months of Employment:
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or equivalent
- WHMIS certification
- Food Safe certification
- Negative TB screening test
