Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educators to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their developmental growth, and supporting their individual needs. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, following the NBCF-E, maintaining educational portfolios, collaborating with colleagues, reporting to the operating director, maintaining a clean, are, and inclusive classroom environment. Candidates with strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education are encouraged to apply.
Pay will be set based on certification and experience.
1 position is full time
1 position is a fixed 4 month contract with strong probability of extension or full time movement.
Anticipated start date of both positions is August 25, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Engage children in educational activities that enhance language skills, motor skills, and critical thinking
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records of student development and classroom activities
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Manage classroom organization to ensure safety, cleanliness, and resource availability
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan events and participate in professional development opportunities
- Support all children
- Uphold all safety protocols and licensing requirements to ensure a secure learning environment
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood settings is preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education programs is advantageous
- Proficiency in English is required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Organizational skills for managing classroom activities, documentation, and time effectively
- Leadership qualities to guide children positively and support team collaboration
- Computer operation skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently within a dynamic educational environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $17.00-$27.79 per hour
