Barber-Collins Security is looking for a candidate who can be reliable, dependable and flexible.
It is a mandatory requirement that candidates have access to their own personal vehicle.
Shifts:
Candidates must be able to commit/agree to:
- No guaranteed hours
- Available to working days/mornings, afternoons/evenings, overnights
- Available for 8 and/or 12 hour shifts
- Must be extremely flexible and available
Responsibilities:
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Pay: $19.15 per hour
