Job Overview
SKIN Clinics is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Brandon team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures, familiarity with electronic medical records, and experience in a medical office environment. The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems such as Accuro EMR, TouchMD, and Square POS
- Collect patient demographics, insurance details, and co-payments at check-in and check-out
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently to optimize office workflow
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxes, data entry, and maintaining patient records and ensure all information is handled confidentially in accordance with clinic policies and privacy legislation.
- Handle correspondence and communication with insurance companies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote professionalism and efficiency
- Support other administrative duties as required to ensure seamless office operations
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of reception, front desk, or administrative experience preferred.
- Experience in a medical clinic, physician’s office, dermatology practice, cosmetic clinic, or medical spa is considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Accuro and Touch MD
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to medical environments
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with office equipment such as faxes and UVB and software including MS Office Suite and Square
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in healthcare administration is a plus

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
